PRESIDEN Joko Widodo mengawali kunjungan kerjanya di Provinsi Lampung dengan meninjau langsung program vaksinasi Covid-19 untuk masyarakat di Politeknik Kesehatan (Poltekkes) Tanjung Karang, Kamis (2/9). Kegiatan vaksinasi ini dilaksanakan kepada 100 pelaku usaha mikro kecil menengah (UMKM).
Selanjutnya, Presiden meninjau program vaksinasi Covid-19 bagi para tenaga pendidik dan pelajar yang diselenggarakan di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bandar Lampung. Kegiatan vaksinasi serupa juga dilaksanakan secara serentak di sejumlah wilayah lainnya.
“Pagi hari ini saya mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Pak Gubernur beserta seluruh jajarannya di Provinsi Lampung karena hari ini melaksanakan vaksinasi di 16 lokasi, baik di puskesmas, di sekolah, juga di lapas. Semuanya dikerjakan secara bersama-sama,” ucap Presiden.
Kepala Negara berharap agar program vaksinasi di Provinsi Lampung dapat terus dilakukan, sehingga laju penyebaran Covid-19 dapat dikendalikan.
“Saya ingin vaksinasi di Provinsi Lampung ini terus digencarkan sehingga segera bisa menghambat laju penyebaran Covid-19, dan kita berharap terutama untuk anak-anak, murid-murid semuanya,” tutur Kepala Negara.
Turut mendampingi Presiden dalam acara tersebut antara lain, Sekretaris Kabinet Pramono Anung, Menteri BUMN Erick Thohir, Panglima TNI Marsekal Hadi Tjahjanto, Kapolri Jenderal Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, dan Gubernur Lampung Arinal Djunaidi.(*ls/E1)
