DIREKTUR SMK Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek), Wardani Sugiyanto menyampaikan bahwa SMK Pusat Keunggulan (SMK PK) berfokus pada pengembangan SMK dengan kompetensi keahlian tertentu yang diperkuat melalui kemitraan dan penyelarasan dengan DUDI, hingga akhirnya menjadi SMK model dan rujukan bagi SMK lainnya.
“SMK PK ini merupakan bagian dari Merdeka Belajar yang sudah dimulai sejak 2021, bahkan 2020 sudah diawali dengan adanya SMK Center of Excellence (CoE),” jelas Wardani, Kamis (17/11).
Wardani menjelaskan, implementasi SMK PK Skema Pemadanan tahun 2022 berhasil meraih capaian hingga 373 SMK yang mendapat bantuan dari 349 industri. Sembilan di antaranya adalah konsorsium dengan total komitmen investasi industri terhadap SMK PK Skema Pemadanan sebesar Rp439,25 miliar.
“Capaian tersebut tentunya juga dibarengi dengan adanya penyelarasan kurikulum sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri, meningkatkan praktisi industri maupun kesempatan magang bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi, hingga peningkatan sarana prasarana yang mendukung pembelajaran,” jelas Wardani.
Bersamaan dengan hal itu, Wardani menyampaikan, untuk tahun depan SMK PK Skema Pemadanan telah dibuka sejak 17 November 2022 hingga 15 Januari 2023 mendatang. “Sebelumnya, konsentrasi yang diunggulkan ada enam sektor yang terdiri atas 57 konsentrasi keahlian. Akan tetapi, di tahun 2023 diharapkan yang dapat didampingi industri ada sebanyak 18 sektor dengan berbagai konsentrasi keahlian,” imbuhnya.
Salah satu praktik baik implementasi SMK PK Skema Pemadanan dirasakan oleh Hariyati selaku Kepala SMKN 4 Kehutanan dan Perkebunan Merauke, Papua. “Hal-hal baik ini harus tetap dilaksanakan dan manfaatnya kami rasakan,” ungkapnya.(*/Dik/Ded)
