KEMENTERIAN Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kominfo) mengapresiasi seluruh pemilik dan pengelola stasiun siaran televisi yang telah mematikan siaran analog di berbagai wilayah siaran termasuk Jabodetabek selama dua hari terakhir sejak 2 November 2022.
Direktur Jenderal Informasi dan Komunikasi Publik Kementerian Kominfo Usman Kansong menyatakan migrasi sistem penyiaran televisi dari analog ke digital memiliki banyak manfaat bagi masyarakat, lembaga penyiaran, maupun negara.
“Dengan beralih ke TV Digital, masyarakat akan menikmati kualitas siaran TV yang lebih baik karena gambarnya lebih bersih, suaranya lebih jernih dan teknologi yang lebih canggih,” jelasnya di Jakarta Pusat, Jumat (4/11).
Selain itu, Dirjen Usman Kansong menyatakan pilihan konten siaran bagi masyarakat juga akan menjadi semakin banyak dan beragam jenisnya, dan dapat dinikmati secara gratis.
“Siaran TV Digital bersifat free-to-air dan bukan TV berlangganan, jadi masyarakat tidak perlu berlangganan ataupun menggunakan kuota paket data internet,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu bagi lembaga penyiaran, migrasi sistem analog ke digital akan membuat industri penyiaran menjadi lebih siap untuk bersaing di era konvergensi melalui adopsi teknologi baru dan pemanfaatan multi kanal siaran.
“Investasi juga akan lebih efisien dalam jangka panjang, sejalan dengan potensi pemanfaatan infrastruktur bersama di era TV digital,” tandas Dirjen IKP Kementerian Kominfo.
Peralihan siaran tv analog ke digital juga memberikan manfaat besar bagi negara. Dampak dari beralihnya sistem analog ke digital akan menghasilkan penggunaan spektrum frekuensi 700 MHz yang lebih efisien. Menurut Dirjen Usman Kansong, peralihan itu menghasilkan digital dividen pemanfaatan spektrum frekuensi radio.
“Yang dapat digunakan untuk mewujudkan internet cepat yang lebih merata, efek berganda di sektor ekonomi digital, dan memberikan tambahan pemasukan APBN dari sektor Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak (PNBP). Selain itu juga akan terjadi potensi peningkatan PDB yang signifikan,” ungkapnya.
Apresiasi
Atas nama Pemerintah, Dirjen IKP Kementerian Kominfo mengapresiasi pemilik dan pengelola stasiun televisi nasional dan lokal yang ikut mendukung pelaksanaan ASO. Menurutnya, saat ini seluruh wilayah siaran Jabodetabek telah dilayani siaran televisi digital menjadi catatan sejarah baru bagi industri penyiaran di Indonesia.
“Berdasarkan hasil monitoring spektrum frekuensi, seluruh wilayah siaran Jabodetabek telah dilayani dengan siaran TV digital, suatu sejarah baru bagi industri penyiaran Indonesia,” tegasnya.
Kebijakan Analog Switch Off (ASO) telah dibahas dan dipersiapkan sejak lama, dan telah berkali-kali dibahas bersama para pelaku industri penyiaran TV. Bahkan, menurut Dirjen Usman Kansong juga dibahas dalam rapat persiapan pelaksanaan ASO. Termasuk dalam rapat koordinasi pada tanggal 4 Oktober 2022, seluruh perwakilan LPS yang tergabung dalam Asosiasi Televisi Swasta Indonesia (ATVSI) turut mengusulkan dan memberikan dukungan penuh.
“Hal ini menunjukkan antusiasme untuk pelaksanaan ASO Jabodetabek pada 2 November 2022. Dokumen rapat tersebut terekam secara jelas dan masih tersimpan dalam penyimpanan Kominfo,” tandasnya.
Dirjen IKP Kementerian Kominfo menyatakan, pemerintah juga telah melaksanakan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat dan pemangku kepentingan lain secara masif, intensif, dan dilakukan secara bersama sama.
“Bila masih ada pihak yang terus mendorong bahwa masyarakat dirugikan maka tentu hanya atas dasar informasi terbatas dan tidak lengkap serta sangat subyektif. Kerja sama dan kolaborasi ekosistem ini akan sangat menentukan sukses dan lancarnya era baru penyiaran TV Digital indonesia,” jelas Usman.
Dirjen Usman Kansong mengimbau semua pihak bersama-sama menyukseskan ASO dan migrasi ke penyiaran digital Indonesia. “Demi mewujudkan penyelenggaraan penyiaran digital yang lebih berkualitas dan industri penyiaran yang lebih sehat,” tandasnya.(*/Kom/Ded)
