GUBERNUR Lampung yang diwakili Sekretaris Daerah Provinsi Lampung, Fahrizal Darminto membuka Sosialisasi Media Ramah Perempuan dan Anak Tahun 2023, di Ballroom Hotel Emersia, Selasa (28/3).
Kadis PPPA Provinsi Lampung Fitrianita Damhuri menjelaskan, kegiatan ini diselenggarakan untuk menyamakan persepsi dalam pemberitaan yang ramah perempuan dan anak serta memberikan semangat dan motivasi pada jurnalis perempuan. Pemprov berharap agar media lebih banyak menghadirkan konten-konten yang tidak hanya menghibur, tapi juga memberikan edukasi pada masyarakat khususnya anak-anak.
Gubernur dalam sambutan tertulis yang disampaikan oleh Sekdaprov menyebutkan bahwa saat ini jumlah perempuan dan anak secara statistik dua pertiga dari jumlah penduduk. Perempuan dan anak merupakan generasi penerus bangsa yang harus dilindungi dari pemberitaan negatif agar dapat tumbuh dengan wajar.
Sesuai amanat Undang-Undang No. 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 tentang Perlindungan Anak, Gubernur mengungkapkan bahwa media massa turut serta dalam memberikan perlindungan bagi perempuan dan anak.
Gubernur juga menegaskan bahwa media memiliki kontribusi dalam pembentukan karakter anak menjadi insan yang baik. Termasuk menciptakan atmosfir positif melalui tulisan yang bisa memberikan inspirasi bagi masyarakat dan anak-anak.
Media massa, kata Gubernur, memiliki kewajiban untuk melakukan upaya perlindungan bagi perempuan dan anak, salah satunya dengan mewujudkan pemberitaan yang ramah perempuan dan anak.
Pemberitaan tentang perempuan dan anak hendaknya tetap memperhatikan hak-hak dan kepentingan terbaik perempuan dan anak serta menghindari dari pelabelan, serta diisi dengan konten-konten yang menghibur tetapi tetap mendidik.
Hal tersebut sesuai dengan visi Provinsi Lampung, yaitu “Rakyat Lampung Berjaya” dan misi Nomor 3, “Mengembangkan Upaya Perlindungan Anak, Memberdayakan Perempuan dan Kaum Difabel”, serta janji kerja Gubernur Lampung Nomor 21 “Perempuan Berjaya” dan Nomor 26 “Lampung Ramah Perempuan dan Anak”.
Sekdaprov menambahkan, hal tersebut juga selaras dengan tujuan bernegara yang terkandung di dalam Undang-Undang Dasar 1945, yaitu melindungi segenap bangsa Indonesia dan seluruh tumpah darah Indonesia dan untuk memajukan kesejahteraan umum serta mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa.
“Media sangat berperan untuk membuat masyarakat menjadi lebih cerdas serta membangun optimisme masyarakat dalam kehidupan bernegara,” kata Sekdaprov.
Dalam acara tersebut, juga dilakukan Penandatanganan Nota Kesepahaman guna meningkatkan komitmen dan sinergi dalam mewujudkan media yang ramah perempuan dan anak, antara Dinas PPPA dengan perwakilan delapan Organisasi Media dan Wartawan di Provinsi Lampung, diantaranya PWI, AWPI, KWRI, JMSI, IJTI, IWO, AJOI, dan IJP.
Acara kemudian diakhiri dengan diskusi yang menghadirkan 4 narasumber, yaitu Kepala Dinas Kominfotik Ganjar Jationo, Direktur Eksekutif Lada Damar lampung Sely Fitriani, Ketua Forum Puspa Lampung Yuli Nugrahani, dan Ketua Forum Jurnalis Perempuan Indonesia Provinsi Lampung Vina Oktavia.
