Gajahlah Kebersihan merupakan sebuah gerakan sosial yang dibentuk oleh empat orang alumni dari program Indonesian Youth Marine Debris Summit (IYMDS) 2017 yaitu: Dicky Dwi Alfandy, Edy Fajar Prasetyo, Putri Winda Sari, dan Mutia. Nama tersebut dipakai karena hewan gajah merupakan icon dari provinsi Lampung serta plesetan dari kata Jagalah Kebersihan.
Gerakan sosial ini dilaksanakan di provinsi Lampung dimana kegiatan utamanya yaitu berfokus pada pemberian edukasi masyarakat Indonesia seperti pelatihan upcycling, seminar online dan offline, edukasi ke sekolah dan universitas, perkumpulan pemuda Lampung Youth Marine Debris Summit (LYMDS) dan kampanye melalui media sosial.
Gajahlah Kebersihan lahir pada tanggal 28 Oktober 2017 di Jakarta. Kegiatan pertamanya adalah online seminar. Melihat dan mendapat banyaknya antusiasme dari masyarakat mereka merasa bahwa informasi serta edukasi lingkungan khususnya tentang marine debris memang masih sangat terbatas saat itu, hal itulah yang kemudian membuat mereka lebih bersemangat untuk dapat memberikan dan menjadi wadah edukasi lingkungan di Indonesia.
Sepanjang dua tahun perjalanan, gerakan ini telah berhasil memberikan edukasi kepada lebih 13.000 masyarakat Indonesia baik itu berasal dari peserta seminar, workshop, kegiatan summit, kunjungan edukasi ke beberapa universitas serta sekolah dan masih banyak kegiatan lainnya.
Saat ini Gajahlah Kebersihan memiliki anggota lebih dari 120 orang yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Sudah banyak kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh Gajahlah Kebersihan dalam upaya untuk membebaskan lautan dari sampah.
Pada 2019, telah diselenggarakan Lampung Youth Marine Debris Summit (LYMDS). Dalam kegiatan ini, sebanyak 30 calon pemimpin dari berbagai penjuru Lampung dikumpulkan untuk diberikan pemahaman serta pelatihan secara mendalam mengenai isu sampah laut.
Dalam menjalankan berbagai kegiatan, Gajahlah Kebersihan bekerja sama dengan banyak pihak, diantaranya adalah YSEALI (Young Southeast Asean Leaders Initiative), Blue Waves, Eco Business Indonesia, Telkomsel, DLH Kota Metro, DLH kota Bandar Lampung, DLH Provinsi Lampung, Youth with Sanitation Concern dan masih banyak lagi. Gajahlah Kebersihan berharap dapat ikut serta dalam mendukung target pengurangan sampah hingga 70% pada tahun 2025. (gaj/putri)
