TRANSFORMASI pendidikan vokasi melalui program SMK Pusat Keunggulan berhasil melahirkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang kompeten sesuai kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI). Transformasi itu juga berhasil meningkatkan kepercayaan terhadap pendidikan vokasi. Hal ini setidaknya dibuktikan dari antusiasme DUDI terhadap program SMK Pusat Keunggulan Skema Pemadanan Dukungan (SMK PK SPD) 2023 yang meningkat signifikan dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya.
Berdasarkan data awal dari Direktorat SMK, ada 2.559 industri yang telah mendaftarkan diri dan menyatakan minat pada program SMK PK SPD 2023 dengan total potensi investasi mencapai Rp2,3 triliun. Potensi investasi tersebut diperuntukkan bagi 56 konsentrasi keahlian. Jumlah tersebut meningkat signifikan dibandingkan tahun 2022, di mana jumlah DUDI yang terlibat dalam program SMK PK SPD berjumlah 349 dan total investasi yang digelontorkan oleh industri saat itu mencapai Rp439,25 miliar.
Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Vokasi (Dirjen Diksi), Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek), Kiki Yuliati, menilai bahwa meningkatnya kepercayaan industri terhadap pendidikan vokasi tidak lepas dari konsistensi kebijakan pemerintah untuk terus menerus mendukung pendidikan vokasi.
“Bapak Presiden Jokowi terus konsisten untuk mendukung kemajuan pendidikan vokasi dan itu terus diserukan melalui Mas Menteri yang juga konsisten menumbuhkan kepercayaan industri kepada pendidikan vokasi,” kata Dirjen Kiki pada acara Diskusi Media, di Jakarta, Senin (6/2).
Selain komitmen dukungan yang diserukan oleh Presiden, menurut Dirjen Kiki, lonjakan minat DUDI untuk membangun pendidikan vokasi juga tidak lepas dari dampak nyata yang ditunjukkan pendidikan vokasi pada pengembangan ekonomi Indonesia.
Kiki Yuliati menuturkan, berbagai program yang diluncurkan oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Vokasi (Ditjen Diksi), termasuk salah satunya adalah SMK PK SPD bertujuan untuk mendorong pendidikan vokasi yang semakin relevan dengan apa yang dibutuhkan oleh DUDI.
“Berbagai insentif yang diberikan bukan untuk membiayai industri, tetapi mendorong pelaku pendidikan vokasi untuk mendengarkan dan memenuhi kebutuhan yang dilayani, baik siswa hingga industri. Kami ingin mendorong internal, pelaku penyelenggara pendidikan vokasi agar menyelenggarakan program yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat,” katanya.
Sementara itu, pemilihan 56 konsentrasi keahlian pada program SMK PK SPD tersebut merupakan konsentrasi keahlian yang sudah melalui tahap kajian bersama industri dan dinilai memiliki potensi yang besar di masa mendatang. Saat ini total konsentrasi keahlian yang ada di SMK mencapai 128 konsentrasi keahlian.
Direktur SMK, Wardani Sugiyanto, dalam kesempatan yang sama mengatakan bahwa meskipun data industri yang ditampilkan merupakan data awal yang masih harus melalui tahap kurasi oleh tim dari SMK, tetapi angka ini merupakan sinyal positif bahwa semangat transformasi pendidikan vokasi melalui revitalisasi SMK dan program SMK Pusat Keunggulan disambut baik oleh DUDI.
“Target kami pada akhir Februari, proses kurasi bisa selesai sehingga Maret sudah mulai penetapan dan program bisa berjalan,” kata Wardani.
Menurut Wardani, 2.559 industri yang sudah mendaftar tersebut didominasi oleh industri-industri skala menengah dan industri besar, seperti Astra, INKA Group, dan sejumlah industri besar lainnya. Selain industri besar dan menengah, usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) juga banyak yang menyatakan minat dalam program SMK PK SPD 2023.
“Mengapa kami juga mengajak UMKM terutama di daerah? Karena kami ingin agar SMK Pusat Keunggulan SPD 2023 ini bisa berdampak dan menggerakkan ekonomi di daerah, baik sebagai starter industri maupun engine untuk menggerakkan ekonomi daerah,” kata Wardani menambahkan.
Sebagai informasi, program SMK PK SPD merupakan mekanisme pengembangan SMK Pusat Keunggulan yang berbasis kemitraan dan penyelarasan dengan partisipasi dari DUDI yang didukung oleh pendanaan dari APBN dan investasi DUDI. Kemendikbudristek akan memadankan investasi dari industri 1:1, di mana plafon pendanaan maksimal yang diberikan pemerintah adalah Rp3 miliar. Melalui program SMK PK SPD diharapkan akan terjalin kemitraan yang lebih terukur antara DUDI dengan SMK
