Pandemi covid-19 cukup berdampak pada dunia bisnis, termasuk UMKM. Beberapa di antaranya mengalami penurunan omzet bahkan ada yang tutup. Namun, lain halnya dengan Mie Ayam Ceker Mbak Sari yang dimiliki oleh Heni Kurnia Sari (44). Usaha ini malah mulai dijalani saat pandemi berlangsung dan masih bertahan hingga sekarang. Heni memanfaatkan rumah yang dimodif sedemikian rupa sehingga menarik dan sejuk untuk dijadikan tempat makan.
Saat ditemui, Minggu (21/03), Heni mengakui memulai usahanya saat sekolah diliburkan pada masa awal pandemi. Kondisi tersebut membuat dirinya yang berprofesi sebagai guru honorer memutuskan untuk resign dan bertekad untuk berwirausaha.
“Setahun yang lalu bertepatan pas corona. Kan bingung, nih. Aku kan honor di SD. Ngapain nganggur aja di rumah, karena proses belajar melalui online. Sampai ada teman yang bilang, karena saya pintar dalam hal memasak, kenapa gak jualan aja. Gitu, kata teman. Akhirnya, ya jualan rawon, dendeng, mie ayam, gitu. Sampai bulan puasa masih online, kan, sekolah. Dan setelah lebaran, ya saya memilih untuk berhenti sebagai honorer. Dan meneruskan usaha yang saya rintis di rumah ini,” ungkapnya antusias.
Ia menambahkan bahwa memilih berhenti sebagai guru honorer agar lebih fokus menjalankan usahanya. Karena dari awal membuka mie ayam ceker ini animo yang datang dari masyarakat cukup banyak dan sangat antusias, ia pun memantapkan dirinya untuk terus melanjutkan usaha tersebut.
Usaha kuliner yang terletak di Desa SB 6 Tanjung Harapan Blok DPT, Seputih Banyak, Lampung Tengah ini, dibuka pukul 10.00 pagi hingga menu yang tersaji habis. Tersedia berbagai macam menu, antara lain mie ayam, mie ayam bakso, mie tek-tek, mie pangsit, bakso malang dan juga beragam minuman. Dalam sehari biasanya menghabiskan mie sampai 6 kg.
“Untuk mie, biasanya kan 1 kg itu jadinya 10 gulung, ya. Biasanya, sehari langsung habis 6 kg. Ya, alhamdulillah banyak yang ke sini. Dan biasanya, sebelum sore sudah habis,” kata wanita yang karib dipanggil Sari ini.
“Aku biasanya, langganan itu, pegawai-pegawai kecamatan, guru-guru. Polisi-polisi juga. Dan, pas anak sekolah masuk, ya tambah lagi bisa cepat habis daganganku,” lanjut Heni lagi.
Heni sempat mengenyam pendidikan Diploma 1 Perhotelan. Di situlah ia mendapatkan keahlian memasak atau membuat berbagai macam olahan makanan lainya.
“Aku dulu pertamanya sekolahnya di D-1 Perhotelan. Ya, itu awalnya. Dari pengalaman D-1 itu saya mendapatkan ilmu memasaknya. Setelah itu saya ambil S-1 PGSD,” terangnya.
Tak hanya melayani pelanggan yang datang langsung ke rumahnya, ia juga melayani pemesanan online. Pelanggan bisa pesan lewat whatsapp dan juga jasa pengiriman online yang ada di Seputih Banyak, yaitu Iki Jek.
“Harapan, bisa berkembang, ya di sini. Dan, ada planning ke depan, sih. Karena suami 3 tahun lagi pensiun, pengennya buka usaha kuliner yang lebih besar lagi. Semacam food court, gitu. Dibikinnya bakso sendiri, mie ayam sendiri, pangsit sendiri. Dengan topping yang beraneka ragam, gitu,” pungkasnya sembari mengakhiri obrolan dengan Travel2Lampung.(Rid/E1)
